Un-Official Gallery - Our trip to France summer 2010

When I first saw the title for this weeks un-official gallery I instantly thought of our family holiday to Florida. After looking at our digital photos I remembered our camera broke after the first day so it would of been rather boring.

I have decided to put together some of our last years holiday pics. I have mentioned in a previous post that I am lucky to have a friend that has a house in France and I have had several holidays there.

The house is situated on the outskirts of a village called Sauzze-vaussais It is a good 7 or 8 hour drive 10 if you get lost from calaise. We decided to use the Eurotunnel for the first time (Thanks to Tesco club card points). The kids thought it was brill and so quick.

Graham was spending the summer making alterations and re-building a nice bbq eating area at the bottom of the garden, we were lucky enough to see it nearly finished and eat in it on our last night.

Wood on roof just need to put tiles on.

Almost complete.

The inside getting finished.

Finished with new furniture in

About a 20 minute drive away is La Vallée des Singes (Valley of the Monkeys). The children love going there when we visit.

A lot of the monkeys are swinging and climbing right next to you and some are very tame.

We have learnt from previous years that the goats love the leaves off the trees so we all started grabbing some for them. It was really funny humans are just like sheep everyone in the goat petting area started copying us and jumping up to get leaves and climbing on parents backs, we made a sharp exit.

We visited Futuroscope which I also used my Tesco points to get tickets, so it felt like a great free day out.

Everyone had a great day and on the night is a laser show on water that is amazing. A great long day out. We always go to La Rochelle several times and usually stop for a drink when we arrive. I had to take a photo of our reciept as my husband nearly had a heart attack

Just shy of 40 Euro for 1 Apple Juice,3 Orangina, 2 Diet cokes and 3 coffee's. My husband will never think Costa Coffee is expensive again. It is a lovely day out though if you don't go on a sunday as most places are shut.

The children love cycling to a lovely park place where you can play crazy golf and there is a cafe and lovely river walk.

Some pictures of the house and garden.
